The brief was to create a friendly logo that reflected the Japanese sweet filled pastry and its sharing nature. I had several meetings with the client to define the design problem and ascertain who the audience would be. After a few rounds of consultation and refinement the resulting logo and brand reflects the cute and sweet heart of this delicious Japanese treat. The logo would sit along side the double meaning name of Yu-mi, "You and Me" or "Yummy".
