Data Brand is a function and form collective specialising in the design and development of Data Organisms. Data Brand is interested in merging design and data in a way that brings life to data, with the purpose of communicating data for life. I founded Data Brand as a part of my honours creative project to aid the proposal of the Data Organism - an entity that goes beyond data visualisation and infographics, and which aims to bridge the gap between data and consumer by increasing transparency, trust, and the understanding of the importance of data in all areas of life.

The Renewable Generation is a data-driven energy sustainability campaign that visualises live energy use across Australian states. The campaign aims to build an energy use consciousness – to think about how we both use and supply our energy, and its impact on the wider world. This project is Data Brand's first prototype Data Organism - a entity that brings together data and design, providing greater value to both, and ultimately creating an engaging, interactive, and transparent entity that can take a variety of forms and functions.

I worked at SMAI in a graphic design and content creation capacity for over a year and a half. I was responsible for directing and designing the businesses visual appearance online and in print. This involved a wide range of projects and mediums including art direction, copywriting, animation, web design, product design, blog writing, paid and organic social content and EDM's. Also working with a range of international and local sports clients like F45, Air Locker, St. George Illawarra Dragons, Combine Air and the World Karate Federation to design and brand the best products for their needs.

An experimental design package consisting of logo, way-finding and signage, promotional video, and animated music video for the 2018 UOW Creative Arts Graduate Exhibition. Features a staged logo release that refines over time alongside the student works, coalescing into its final form for the opening date. The branding system features a pixel and brush concept that forms brand marks for each discipline.

Through practical collaboration between students and industry, Team UOW in the Solar Decathlon 2018 endeavour to change the way the world views sustainable housing by building a home that is architecturally inspiring, innovative and adaptive to a person’s needs as they continue to age, creating ‘A House For Life’. The net-zero energy and dementia friendly house was designed and built in Australia by students, then disassembled and reassembled in Dubai in less than 14 days. The house was toured by the Price of Dubai and the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. The house was awarded overall 2nd place along with 8 other awards.
